Regional Transport Manager | Network Support | Regional 3PL Logistics | Northampton Location: Northampton | Midlands/Northern Regional Coverage Salary: £60K - £65K Company Car / Allowance Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: MondayFriday, 40hrs per week The Role We are partnering with a progressive, award-winning logistics company to recruit an experienced Regional Transport Manager (3PL, Warehousing & Transport) to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations on a long-standing, prestigious contract. As the Regional Transport Manager (Network Support), you will have full autonomy over your department, covering day-to-day team and driver management, ensuring H&S compliance, and driving cross-functional collaboration. You will also take ownership of the P&L, with overall responsibility for distribution centres across the Midlands and Northern regions. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead depot operations, including customer service, policies, procedures, and standards, driving continuous improvement and enhancing the overall customer experience Collaborate with on-site departments, including operations, commercial teams, and planning, to drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders Demonstrate visible leadership, promoting behaviours that support business objectives and culture Ensure full compliance with HR policies, procedures, and programmes, supporting the recruitment, retention, and development of colleagues Work with internal support teams to identify staffing needs and implement strategies to attract and retain talent Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and career development planning Drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programmes, and team-building activities, fostering a positive working environment Take full ownership of the Transport P&L, optimising revenue and profitability across the network Prepare and manage depot budgets, including forecasting and annual budget presentations Partner with operations, commercial, and contract management teams to develop pricing strategies, cost-saving initiatives, and revenue growth opportunities Work closely with Financial Business Partners to conduct regular financial reviews and performance analysis Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles Requirements Proven experience managing financial P&L Essential Strong stakeholder management skills (internal & external) Essential National CPC Holder Essential Experience managing a large, site-based multi-customer transport operation Essential Experience within a retail or 3PL transport environment servicing retailers Highly advantageous Salary & Benefits £60,000 - £65,000 base salary Company vehicle or allowance Discretionary bonus MondayFriday | 40 hours per week 25 days holiday bank holidays 5% matched pension contribution Healthcare plan Employee perks & discounts (Reward Gateway / voucher scheme) Ongoing training, leadership development & career progression opportunities About the Employer This is a well-established and growing logistics organisation, delivering distribution, warehousing, and third-party logistics (3PL) solutions across the UK, known for its innovation, operational excellence, and long-term customer partnerships To Note: Should you have not heard back within 14 days, please assume that you have been unsuccessful TLP Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
