We now have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Assistant who is already on their APC journey. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a successful career in surveying, gain broad exposure across a diverse property portfolio, and receive full support to achieve RICS qualification.
About the Role
As an Assistant Surveyor within our Advisory Services team, you will work across a wide range of property disciplines, including Landlord & Tenant, Property Management, Development, Leasing and Lettings, and Valuation. You will support colleagues in delivering key business objectives while developing the technical and professional competencies required for your APC. This role offers exceptional hands‑on experience, structured APC support, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact the NHS estate.
Who You Are
You are a proactive, curious and committed surveying professional who is progressing through the APC. You enjoy working across varied workstreams, building strong relationships, and applying your developing technical knowledge to real‑world property challenges. You bring enthusiasm, attention to detail and a desire to grow into a fully qualified surveyor.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work across Advisory Services to support delivery of core property objectives.
2. Assist with Landlord & Tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals and licences.
3. Carry out property inspections, measurements and valuations in line with RICS guidance.
4. Support space rationalisation, estate optimisation and strategic property advice.
5. Help manage lease compliance, tenant requests and day‑to‑day property queries.
6. Contribute to disposals, acquisitions and development‑related workstreams, if required
7. Prepare reports, maintain accurate property data and support internal governance processes.
8. Liaise with planning teams, contractors, solicitors and internal stakeholders.
9. Support service charge reviews, budgets and reconciliations.
10. Assist with legal documentation such as leases, TR1s, agreements for lease and related property contracts.
Where you’ll be
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum 2/3 days at our Canary Wharf, London hub. The salary offered is £32,000 per annum, and the position is full‑time on a 24‑month fixed‑term contract.
