Responsibilities
* Lead the care team to ensure safety, support and person‑centred care for residents.
* Regularly review resident needs and maintain hygiene, cleanliness and equipment standards.
* Support the Registered Manager in day‑to‑day operations and assume full capacity in their absence.
* Induct new team members and provide ongoing supervision and support to existing staff.
* Complete care audits to maintain good practice and trigger reviews as resident needs change.
* Create and review person‑centred care plans that focus on dignity and individuality.
* Liaise with families, care professionals, social workers and residents to ensure holistic care.
* Monitor, report and investigate risks, safeguarding concerns or harms, and implement mitigation measures.
* Ensure administrative records – daily care notes, medication charts, meeting notes – are accurate and up to date.
Qualifications
* Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
* Prior experience leading a team of care assistants (and Registered Nurses if clinical).
* QCF Level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
* Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
* Available to work 42 hours per week.
