About the Role:
* Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on gymnastics.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Develop and deliver a gymnastics program that caters to students of all abilities, from beginners to advanced gymnasts.
* Coach and mentor students in gymnastics, helping them to develop their skills, technique, and confidence.
* Organize and participate in gymnastics competitions and displays.
* Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our PE curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
* Foster a love of Physical Education and gymnastics in students, encouraging them to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in PE and gymnastics education.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physical Education with a specialism in gymnastics.
* Has experience of coaching gymnastics to students of different ages and abilities.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching PE and gymnastics and a commitment to student success.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for PE.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
