You'll play a key part in ensuring critical communication equipment for blue light services is reliable and operational across the county. Your work directly contributes to the safety and effectiveness of police and emergency services.
Please note: due to the nature of this role a full, clean UK driving license will be required. Furthermore, you must either hold or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance) & NPPV Clearance for this role, which will require a minimum of 5 years working history in the UK to be eligible.
What You'll Be Doing
* Maintaining and testing Airwave radio equipment in police vehicles and offices, including preventative maintenance, EMC testing, and verifying new installations.
* Supporting daily operations, such as managing stock, responding to incidents and service requests, and assisting with equipment auditing and charger/handheld maintenance.
* Helping with user onboarding and support, including configuring and issuing radios for new starters, making changes for existing users, and recovering equipment from leavers.
* Using specialist systems and tools, such as Sepura Radio Manager, Asset Manager Enterprise, and Airwave Solutions platforms – no prior experience required, full training provided.
* Contributing to service improvement, including reporting, performance analysis, and supporting continuous improvements to help meet customer needs and contractual commitments.

* Good communication skills and a polite, friendly approach when working with colleagues and customers.

* A full UK driving licence, as the role involves travel to police sites across the county.
* Any relevant experience (formal or informal) in electronics, IT, radio systems, or vehicle installations is a bonus – but not essential, as full training will be provided.
