About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in ACDC and DCDC converters. The ideal candidate will bring a few years of industry experience, a relevant academic background in Electronic Engineering, and an enthusiasm for innovation and international collaboration. You will play a key role in shaping solutions for the growing automated material handling sector. Our power conversion products are used in a wide range of industrial environments, both indoor and outdoor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive product improvement and contribute to long-term growth and innovation.
* Manage products through all stages—from concept to full-scale production.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including systems architects, mechanical engineers, control specialists, and experts in EMI, magnetics, and PCB design.
* Conduct simulations of switching converters using tools such as Mathcad, Simplis, SPICE, or MATLAB/Simulink.
* Lead the preparation, review, and approval of schematic designs, magnetic components, loss calculations, and BOMs; provide support to PCB layout engineers.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in power electronics design, including semiconductors, magnetics, and control theory.
* Hands-on expertise with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, data loggers, AC/DC sources, electronic loads) and engineering tools (CAD, MRP systems, schematic capture).
* Familiarity with LLC and phase-shift converters, as well as active power factor correction (PFC).
* Exposure to EMC/EMI design and shielding techniques is a strong plus.
* Ability to understand and critically assess technical requirements.
* Experience in formal design processes, including structured reviews and stage-gate project workflows.
