Senior Project Manager
Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Allianz Transformation team as a Senior Project Manager. You will be supporting the Personal Lines Business, which is responsible for our General Insurance products and the customers who use them.
You will lead and manage complex, cross-functional projects that deliver strategic or transformational change, ensuring alignment with business objectives and overall strategy. You will oversee execution within defined cost, time, and quality parameters to drive successful delivery.
This is a hybrid role based in either the London or Bournemouth office, with an expectation to be on-site as required, depending on the needs of the project. Occasional travel may also be necessary for workshops and other project-related activities.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £70,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
* Leading the end-to-end delivery of multiple complex change projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Defining and managing project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource needs using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
* Engaging internal and external stakeholders, including managing third-party relationships and commercial terms.
* Driving urgency, pace, and clarity while maintaining strong communication and engagement across all stakeholder groups.
* Monitoring project benefits and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives throughout the lifecycle.
* Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and operational impacts to ensure minimal disruption to business-as-usual.
* Coaching and supporting the project team, setting clear goals, and fostering a high-performing, motivated environment.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting project closure, and contributing to continuous improvement in delivery practices.
Essential Skills
* Proven expertise in delivering complex, multi-workstream projects, supported by a recognised project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2).
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and drive high performance.
* Deep understanding of project lifecycles, tools, and delivery frameworks to effectively manage scope, risk, and timelines.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build trusted relationships at all levels.
* Advanced communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, including experience engaging executive and board-level audiences.
* Commercial and technical acumen, with the ability to deliver IT-centric change and align solutions to business needs and emerging technologies.

Desirable Skills
* Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
* Background in the financial services industry.
* Experience engaging with C-suite stakeholders on strategic initiatives such as digital transformation, migrations, or digitisation projects.
