About the Consultancy
This consultancy provides an end-to-end property service, combining:
Transactions & Asset Management - guiding deals and asset transformation.
Building Consultancy - technical, legal, regulatory, surveying, and project management expertise.
Workplace Consultancy - planning and designing high-functioning, modern workspaces.
Studio - creative branding, storytelling, and design solutions for commercial spaces.
With a Manchester office of 35 professionals, the team is collaborative, ambitious, and always buzzing with activity .
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Contract Administration
Lead project management and contract administration on high-profile fit-outs and refurbishments (£50k-£20m).
Manage full project lifecycles, from feasibility and design coordination to procurement and completion.
Oversee programme management, contractor performance, and quality assurance.
Professional Building Surveying
Deliver commercial surveying services including Acquisition Surveys, Schedules of Condition, and Project Monitoring.
Prepare and negotiate Schedules of Dilapidations for landlords and tenants.
Analyse building defects and provide practical, solution-focused recommendations.
Client Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to corporate occupiers, SMEs, investors, and landlords.
Represent the consultancy at client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Mentorship & Team Development
Mentor junior surveyors and help maintain high professional standards across the team.
About You
MRICS-qualified (or close to completion).
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial building consultancy .
Strong experience in contract administration, cost control, and project management .
Knowledge of JCT contracts and the Law of Dilapidations .
Confident, client-facing, and able to chair meetings and manage multiple concurrent projects .
Commercially aware, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-profile consultancy environment .
What's on Offer
Competitive salary circa £40,000 - £50,000 - on experience.
Annual bonus scheme (historically paid every year, circa 10-15% of salary).
No personal fee targets - the consultancy always has plenty of work from existing clients.
Flexible working - 37.5 hours/week, core 10am-3pm, 4pm finish Fridays.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays; office closed between Christmas and New Year.
