Your Role
As a Residential Deputy Manager, you will:
* Ensure our Statement of Purpose reflects the needs of the young people in our care.
* Develop effective communication strategies to keep the team informed and engaged.
* Manage and enhance the quality of direct services provided to young people.
* Identify and meet staff training and development needs.
* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations.
* Regularly inspect the home to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
* Oversee financial budgets and ensure compliance with company procedures.
* Promote our Equality and Diversity policies and Child Protection Procedures.
* Set and evaluate quality standards for individual and team performance.
* Foster a culture of professional practice and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should:
* Understand the challenges faced by young people in care.
* Hold a relevant qualification (Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent).
* Possess excellent communication and listening skills.
* Be eager to learn and grow.
* Work well in a small team environment.
* Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (we’ll cover the cost!).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioural Disorder or Youth Work is a plus.
* Have a full, clean UK driving license and be flexible to cover at other homes as needed.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position with a base salary of £31,105.28, with the potential to earn up to £34,362.56 through sleep-in shifts. You will work 42 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern.
