Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including hardware, servers, networks, and systems
2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff across the organisation
3. Oversee case management, document management, and legal software systems (Proclaim development experience desirable)
4. Ensure data security, system backups, and disaster recovery procedures are in place
5. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system security in line with GDPR and company policies
6. Monitor system performance to maintain reliability and minimise downtime
7. Coordinate and manage relationships with external IT service providers and vendors
8. Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networking equipment
9. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices
10. Support IT projects, upgrades, and system improvements
11. Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity standards
12. Provide guidance and training to staff on IT systems and security awareness
Role Requirements
13. Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT management within a legal practice
14. Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and systems
15. Knowledge of legal case management and document management systems
16. Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data protection, and GDPR compliance
17. Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and cloud-based systems
18. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
19. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
20. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff
21. Experience managing IT vendors and service providers
22. Relevant IT qualifications or certifications (desirable)
