About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative in our Milton Keynes branch, you will work alongside Milton Keynes Council within our social housing sector, providing stable and profitable contracts, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams who understand the importance of working together for the community.
Your responsibilities include supporting residents with reactive repairs across our property portfolio, working on a planned route, and undertaking high standards of multi-trade repairs and refurbishment activities to housing properties, ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards are met. You will have a certified core trade and be capable of delivering additional trade activities to support timely repairs and refurbishment, aiming for first-time completion within budget and time constraints.
* Possess a certified core trade and the ability to support repair/refurbishment works to high standards following standard operating procedures.
* Take ownership of construction, fault finding, and maintenance repairs, aiming for first-time completion within budget and time.
* Prioritize customer experience by maintaining professionalism when communicating with service users, clients, and stakeholders, including appearance, ID, vehicle condition, and health & safety standards. Collect customer feedback where requested.
* Utilize electronic devices (PDA) for processing tasks such as worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence, stock replenishment, and safety documentation.
* Maintain company assets in good condition and report damages.
* Manage stock and materials efficiently, complying with purchasing and stock control procedures.
* Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

* UK full driving license
All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; Mears does not offer visa sponsorship. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held a license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
