Cycle to workAn established organisation operating across multiple sectors within the food and environmental services supply chain is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a key processing facility in Doncaster. With a strong UK presence, this business provides essential manufacturing and service solutions to a wide range of end markets, including renewable energy, agriculture, food production, and industrial applications.
What you’ll be doing:
Carrying out day-to-day maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
Installing and maintaining new and existing mechanical systems with minimal disruption to production
Completing preventative maintenance routines (PPM) to reduce breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency
Conducting risk assessments and following health and safety procedures at all times
Keeping job sheets and maintenance logs up to date
Maintaining a clean and safe working area after each task
Supporting other mechanical or operational teams across the site as required
What we’re looking for:
A time-served apprenticeship or formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Solid fabrication skills (essential)
Engineering experience in a process or factory environment
Experience with refrigeration systems is desirable but not essential
A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
Calm and methodical approach, particularly when working under pressure or to deadlines
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
