Overview
Carbon60 is currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join a client of ours based in Broughton. This role is a contract role until October 2026 and will likely be extended.
The Rates For This Role Will Be Inside IR35
• Up to £29.89 per hour PAYE depending on experience
• Up to £40.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
* Support the local FMRE (Facilities Management, Real Estate) team to implement appropriate risk controls and maintain compliance across the company's activities and service providers.
* Conduct inspections, review safety management systems, and provide expert advice on strategic projects.
* Ensure compliance with requirements for the introduction of new plant, equipment, and ongoing maintenance.
* Review the safety management systems of prospective FMRE contractors through the pre-qualification process.
* Conduct EHS-related inspections on internal operations and activities carried out by service providers.
* Provide competent environment, health, and safety advice for a wide range of strategic projects.
* Implement processes and complete compliance audits to ensure adherence to relevant legal requirements.
* Investigate work-related incidents and environmental incidents, and ensure remedial actions are implemented.
Requirements
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in reporting to and working with key stakeholders to implement safety-related projects.
* A clear understanding of the practical application of health and safety standards and a proactive attitude towards continuous professional development.
