The role involves undertaking comprehensive OT assessments, developing and implementing person-centred care plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions. You will also assess and review moving-and-handling equipment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, nursing professionals, medical staff, psychology services, healthcare support workers, and exercise and wellbeing practitioners, a large part of the role will also involve autonomous working. You will be expected to apply your occupational therapy skills, complete thorough risk assessments and use evidence-based practice to guide your therapeutic interventions.
The role will also involve supporting the Lead OT in ensuring the OT services across the site are effective, person-centred, proactive and support Priory objectives.
You will be working alongside an occupational therapy assistant and will be required to provide supervision to other occupational therapy staff.
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and experienced senior occupational therapist to work on our Enhanced Rehab & Recovery unit. The unit has 24/7 admissions combining acute stabilisation with recovery-focused rehabilitation for patients with cognitive impairments.
