Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role As Asset Maintenance Engineer, you'll report into the Production Manager and be accountable for providing organisational, administrative, technical, supervisory and controlling support to the Maintenance Department at Keadby Power Station. You’ll also ensure the delivery of all activities are compliant with SSE's, Keadby's, and departmental production/ engineering standards and goals. You will - Support the organisation and delivery of day-to-day preventative and reactive maintenance of station equipment, including sourcing spares, planning of resource, budget and contractor management - Lead a team of Maintenance Engineers, Technicians and Apprentices - Manage short term unbudgeted outages inclusive of programme development and resource planning - Develop and delivery of minor projects - Act as Authorisation Officer plus other roles under SSE Safe Systems of Work processes - Promote a 'one team' approach within the Power Station, forming cooperative relationships with other team leads, while responding to the needs of customer departments You have - Preferably degree level or equivalent qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline, supported by previous experience of large industrial engineering or maintenance in an Engineering role - Preferably have maintenance craft credentials - Competent in the use of digital works management and procurement processes - Understanding of and compliance with all aspects of the company SHEMS - Thorough understanding of a Safe System of Work - Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and supervising people - Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation preferably holding a NEBOSH General Certificate About SSE SSE has a bold ambition – to be a leading energy company in a net zero world.
