Head of Department - Private Client / Wills and Probate

Location: Coventry, with hybrid working
Salary: c£65,000 per annum, negotiable commensurate with experience

What you’ll be doing:
As a Senior Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive you’ll be joining the senior management team in this crucial senior role, leading their busy, highly successful Private Client Team over three Warwickshire locations.
The role will involve:
* Managing the Private Client Department and supervising staff
* Planning and implementing the Private Client Department’s strategy, as part of the Senior Management Team
* Recruitment, training and development of staff, conducting appraisals and managing team billing targets
* Managing a private client caseload
* Advising clients in relation to Wills, Trusts, LPAs, Probate, Administration of Estates, taxation and applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship Orders
* Drafting and preparing legal documents
* Attending networking events and building external relationships
Who we’re looking for:
Suitable candidates are likely to have:
* Fully qualified status (solicitor or FCILEx)
* Significant experience within Private Client to include wills, trusts, probate, LPA’s, IHT and Court of Protection matters
* The ability to mentor, supervise and inspire others
* The ability to work collaboratively both with colleagues and with the management team
This is a full-time permanent job, Monday to Friday, however reduced/flexible hours will also be considered. Home working will be accommodated one day per week.
