Meet and Greet Volunteers - Macular Clinic @ Mater Hospital
This role offers volunteers the opportunity to help reduce patient anxiety and improve the atmosphere in the clinic by initiating light conversation and offering support.
It is a rewarding role appreciated by patients and their families, providing volunteers with a chance to develop interpersonal skills and give back to the community.
Afternoon sessions are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Minimum age to apply is 17.
Applicants need to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check before starting. Two references are required, and applicants will undergo Occupational Health screening.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Meet and greet service users and provide a warm welcome
* Listen and respond to service users
* Help service users access the information they require
* Provide refreshments (tea/coffee) to service users
