Overview

Based at headspace Ashfield, this is an opportunity to make a real difference and positive impact to someone’s life. The position is a full-time, 2 year max term contract until June 2027. Part-time hours would also be considered.

We are looking for someone with Passion, Respect & Integrity to provide high quality evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to young people aged 12 to 25 years, with demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people and their family, friends or carers.


Responsibilities

* Provide evidenced-based, focused psychological intervention/treatment for young people aged 12–25 years.
* Liaise and work with relevant services including GPs, Psychiatrists, health services, Non-Government Organisations, schools and youth services.
* Ensure the efficient and consistent provision of person-centred services to young people, including adherence to relevant guidelines and procedures.
* Actively participate in service development, case review meetings, quality assurance activities and WH&S initiatives.
* Maintain patient records and statistical information.
* Opportunity to develop and facilitate therapeutic group programs.


You will have

* Degree in Psychology or Occupational Therapy and AHPRA membership or provisional; or Registered Nurse; Degree in Social Work with AASW eligibility.
* Eligibility to provide psychological/counselling services under Medicare.
* Demonstrated experience in clinical practice, and in delivering contemporary, evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions for young people.
* Commitment to delivering therapy services as an integrated part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people and their family, friends or carers.
* Compliance checks: NDIS Worker Screening, NSW Working with Children Check and Current Police Check (not older than 3 months).
