About the Role
Salary: £30,000‑£35,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonus. Working hours: 40h per week, 8:00AM‑4:30PM, Monday‑Friday. Location: Tidworth (requires travel to sites in the South region).
Responsibilities
* Work in and around MOD sites and high‑security areas with special access.
* Operate and maintain potable water network, water treatment works, storage reservoirs and water abstraction processes.
* Plan and implement leakage control activities.
* Analyze network data and identify/respond to leaks and bursts.
* Monitor potable water network for flow, pressure and leakage.
* Prepare reports.
* Conduct water‑quality sampling.
* May participate in out‑of‑hours standby arrangements.
* Operate outdoors in all weather and respond to emergency situations.
Qualifications
* Qualification/experience in water network and/or treatment operation, or extensive experience in clean‑water operations.
* Thorough knowledge of leakage identification and control.
* Understanding of water‑industry regulations, especially water quality.
* Experience with valve/network control and isolation operations.
* Leakage management experience.
* Water‑quality sampling experience.
* Water regulations inspector (certified).
* Accredited risk assessor.
* Water hygiene (EUSR).
* Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
