UX Engineer required to work for a large organisation based in Central London. This role is mainly remote but they would want to see your face every now and again in the London office.
We want a good, solid UX Engineer with good technical skills and stakeholder management skills. You will have exposure to user-centric design principles, along with proven experience of working within an Agile environment. The UX Engineer role sits within the IT Solutions Development team. The role reports to the UI/UX Lead and is responsible for the front end design of new enterprise and client facing applications in addition to enhancing existing applications. The role involves working with established technologies as well as embracing emerging tools.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Developers, Architects, Solution designers, IT Business relationship Managers, Innovation Managers and other IT teams to design on-brand, intuitive and appealing solutions focusing on UI and UX best practice whilst adhering to the company’s architectural and development standards and principles. They will engage with business stakeholders and team members to scope, plan and deliver new products as well as supporting existing solutions through continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Experience in agile software development.
* A good understanding of User Experience methodology and its importance in digital product development.
* User experience (UX) and user-centric design principles (UCD).
* Stays up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to UX and front-end development.
* Responsive design for web and mobile experience.
* Prototyping, branding and consulting experience.
* Experience working with wireframe/prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma or XD.
* Experience with Adobe CC (Illustrator & Photoshop) (desirable).
* Front-end development experience (HTML5 & CSS3).
* Experience with front-end frameworks, particularly Bootstrap.
* An understanding of JavaScript frameworks, particularly React (desirable).
* Experience with MS Power Platform (desirable).
* Experience using Azure DevOps (desirable).
