We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environment Manager to join our reputable client in the East of Scotland & North of England area for energy projects.
As an Environment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all environmental aspects of major energy transition & infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive environmental management support
* Deliver management documents and RAMS
* Uphold NC / client standards and values
* Drive high levels of environmental performance
* Lead collaboration between the client, any subcontractors, and third party / other stakeholders
* Ensure relevant consents / authorisations are obtained and endorse relevant prescriptions
Qualifications and Experience:
* Full member Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (formally IEMA) or equivalent
* 10 > years relevant industry experience demonstrated in predominantly construction phase environmental services
* An understanding of environmental management process during construction, EIA / Consent Discharge of Conditions Contractual obligations Onsite delivery
* An understanding of construction process, contractual awareness, and CDM duty holder responsibilities / Environmental roles and responsibilities.
* Ability to find solutions to problems according to local laws without comprising regulations / reputations
* Driving licence / CSCS card
* The desire to drive change within the sector and uphold standards and values
* Demonstrable resilience and team ethic
* Willingness to travel / flexibility
Desirable:
* Environmental degree
* Incident investigation (e.g. Kelvin Top- Set 3 day course)
* Technical specialism (e.g. ecology, surface water management, waste and materials management)
* Experience in linear projects with elements of marine scope
