Are you passionate about IT and ready to take your career to the next level? Looking for a role where you can grow your skills while making a real difference in education? We're recruiting a Trainee IT Network Manager to join a supportive school trust environment where technology is key to success.
You'll work closely with experienced IT professionals to manage and support a wide range of systems and devices across multiple school sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid IT support experience who's ready to step into a more strategic and hands-on infrastructure-focused role.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure across the trust (servers, networks, end-user devices)
* Managing user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and Google Workspace
* Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues for staff and students
* Assisting with rolling out upgrades, updates, and new technologies
* Supporting school events and ensuring minimal downtime across all IT systems
* Liaising with external suppliers and IT partners when needed
What We're Looking For
* Experience in a school or education setting is highly desirable
* Hands-on knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
* Understanding of Windows Server, AD, Intune, SCCM, and basic networking (Cisco/Meraki)
* A clear communicator with a can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset
* Someone keen to learn, grow, and potentially step into a full Network Manager role in the future
Desirable Qualifications (not Essential)
* CompTIA A+ / Network+
* Microsoft or Google certifications
* ITIL Foundation
* Degree or diploma in IT
