Job Title: Head of Export Control

What you’ll be doing:
1. Leading the Operations Centre for Air Sector, responsible for investigation, self-assurance, governance, and export control compliance supporting complex programmes.
2. Developing and leading Export Control activities and strategy across the Air Sector within a complex and unpredictable business landscape.
3. Managing a team providing specialist advice on Export Control law, including senior export control executives, and contributing to reporting for Air Board and Line of Business levels.
4. Implementing export control compliance across the Air sector, including sanctions compliance and automation improvement activities.
5. Contributing to group business objectives by developing and executing export control strategies that minimize infringement risks and secure advantageous positions for current and future product lines.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Proven experience in leading and advising on complex export control and licensing in the defence sector or similar environment.
2. Deep understanding of US and UK export control regimes.
3. Strong people and resource management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
4. Extensive knowledge of export control legal requirements and ability to translate them into procedures.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Leadership experience in managing export control teams, coaching, guiding, and developing junior staff.
