Job description
Our client, is currently seeking an experienced Principal Enforcement Officer for a contract position. This role involves ensuring compliance with housing standards through inspections and enforcement actions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting comprehensive inspections under the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
2. Drafting detailed schedules of work and serving notices in accordance with the Housing Act 2004
3. Preparing prosecution bundles and providing testimony in court or at the First-tier Tribunal (FTT)
4. Issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
5. Managing conflicts effectively during enforcement activities
Job Requirements:
6. Extensive experience in carrying out HHSRS inspections
7. Proficiency in writing work schedules and serving statutory notices under the Housing Act 2004
8. Experience in preparing prosecution documentation and appearing as a witness in legal proceedings
9. Skilled in issuing Community Protection Notices (CPNs)
10. Strong conflict management abilities
11. Significant experience in high-level enforcement actions, including prosecutions and CPNs
