Located on the outskirts of the village of Eglinton and ten miles from Derry, Longfield Care Home offers a welcoming environment with specialised care for residents across two units. We support 35 General Nursing residents in the Foyle and Faughan Units, alongside 11 Residential Dementia residents in the Moore Suite. The Role
The role of a Registered Nurse in our services is a key position in our mission to provide excellent and inclusive care. It is a leadership role, playing a vital part in managing the care of our residents and providing high-quality, person-centred care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans tailored to the individual needs of our residents. You will support the management of shifts, ensure the safety of all residents and our team, and contribute to ongoing personal and professional development.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities
* Delivering person-centred care to each resident
* Assess and monitor the physical health of residents within care plans
* Offer support and supervise all care staff or new recruits
* Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to resident care
* Comply with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
* Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Home Manager

* Valid UK NMC pin
* Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
* The Right to Work in the UK
* The ability to work independently and supervise a team
* Have a good standard of written and spoken English
