Service Desk Analyst
Location: London, Battersea | Employment: Permanent
The Technology Service Desk Analyst will work in a busy and challenging environment at Foster + Partners providing first‑line IT support and guidance to internal customers via telephone, email and face‑to‑face. The role demands a very high standard of customer service and a willingness to provide excellent IT support services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first‑line IT support, troubleshoot issues with Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office (2010/2013), remote administration tools, network technologies (VPN, remote access solutions, terminal servers) and virus protection tools (Symantec). Manage peripherals such as laptops, printers and plotters, use call‑logging software, perform Active Directory and Exchange administration, and support iOS and Windows devices. Log all incidents, work within agreed service levels and collaborate with the broader IT team.
Qualifications & Skills
* Completed ITIL Foundation certificate in service management
* Excellent telephone manner
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite (2010 & 2013)
* Experience with remote administration tools
* General understanding of network technologies, VPN, remote access solutions, terminal servers and Symantec virus protection tools
* Experience with a broad range of systems and peripherals (laptops, printers, plotters)
* Experience with call‑logging software
* Knowledge of common software applications and willingness to learn new tools used in the practice
* Experience with Active Directory and Exchange administration in a professional capacity
* Good knowledge of iOS and Windows devices and configurations
* Ability to work 8‑hour shifts Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑19:00 on a rotating weekly basis
