Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Nottingham Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Are you a dedicated and caring individual with a passion for supporting young learners in Key Stage 1? GSL Education are seeking a motivated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Nottingham this September. As a Key Stage 1 TA, you will provide valuable support to students in their early years of formal education, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally in a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities as a KS1 Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, including those with additional learning needs. Help maintain a positive and organised classroom environment conducive to learning. Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, resources, and activities. Monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Requirements for KS1 Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children, ideally within a KS1 setting. Understanding of the KS1 curriculum and age-appropriate learning strategies. A patient, compassionate, and supportive approach to working with young learners. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
