Experienced Early Years Practitioner- Level 3 or above- Full Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Early Childhood Education and a genuine love for working with young children. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in nurturing and developing the foundational skills of children in our nursery setting. Your ability to communicate effectively and lead educational activities will be essential in creating a positive learning environment.

Children are at the heart of everything we do, so we are looking for an individual who is ready to take initiative and engage hands-on with the tasks at hand. From a princess one day to a Pirate looking for treasure the next, no two days are ever the same

The successful applicant will be qualified level 3 or above, have a strong understanding of EYFS curriculum along with a genuine passion to work with children. They will also actively promote and support the safeguarding of children within the setting, ensuring nursery policies and procedures are always observed.

They will also plan and lead our pre-school programme and work alongside other practitioners to support our school leavers to be physically and emotionally ready for their progression to school.

You must:

· Hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification or above

· Have a genuine passion to work with children

· Be a positive role model

· Have a strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge

· Previous experience is required

· Experience with preschool age children would be preferred

Responsibilities

* Create a welcoming and inspiring space where children feel happy, safe, and ready to explore.
* Plan engaging and creative activities that spark curiosity and help children learn through our curriculum.
* Celebrate every developmental milestone by observing and tracking children's progress, sharing this with professionals and parents
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and the team
* Follow safeguarding policies and health and safety requirements consistently.
* Keep the nursery tidy and clean and liaise with the management team to re-stock resources.
* Stay curious and up to date yourself Take part in training and new opportunities, keeping up to date with the latest initiatives and changes to the sector to keep growing as a practitioner.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all our children. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, with the expectation of applying for the update service. We expect all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. Safeguarding training is a fundamental part of every role, and ALL practitioners and staff are required to complete regular training to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities.
