Field Service Engineer – Process Control

As a Field Service Engineer Process Control at Marel, your most important responsibility is to install and maintain our machines and processes at our customers. Customer satisfaction, preparation, global travel, executing the job, and reporting are key characteristics in this role.
What you'll be doing
* Working with a wide range of our software solutions such as process control applications, reporting software and vision applications.
* Preparing and executing the software deployment and network infrastructure for installation jobs.
* Performing production data analysis and providing our customers with advice based on this data.
* Optimizing and improving the infrastructure of our software solutions at customer sites.
* Troubleshooting issues at customers’ sites.
* Conducting service visits and providing remote support.
* Co‑operating with local employees on larger installation projects.
* Keeping in touch with, and reporting to the customer and internal stakeholders about your progress.
* Training the customer and feeding results back to your colleagues.
Since you will be travelling globally, you will be away from home on a regular basis. We have a clear schedule of our projects and travel to enable you to spend time with family and friends. The schedule includes:
* Preparing your next project(s) and reporting on completed projects.
* Personal and technical training, both in the office and on the job.
* Regular meetings with your manager and the team.
What kind of person are you?
You are passionate about technology, industrial software solutions, IT, enjoy seeing the world and have a real service attitude. You are independent, flexible, stress‑resilient, work hands‑on, have an analytical mind and strong problem‑solving skills. You meet the following qualifications:
* Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, or a vocational level degree in the same area with several years of relevant experience.
* Have experience with or an interest in software installation/configuration, data analysis, optimizing and improving infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
* Affinity with process engineering and/or food production is also a plus.
* Have a good command of the English language.
* Must have relevant EU travel and work documents.
* Are willing to travel internationally (~50‑60%).
