The European Office (EO) Marketing Team's mission is to deliver a personalised, significant, premium experience to Samsung consumers across a multi-touchpoint ecosystem (website, e-store, social, email, device, app, chat, media) to drive sustainable business growth.
You will have a chance to work with various department such as digital, brand, retail and collaborate with Samsung's global presence, including HQ in Korea and 16 subsidiaries in Europe, to improve your skill and capabilities.
You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Experiential Manager in driving the planning, coordinating and delivery of events from start to finish. This position will work closely with the PR & Comms and wider Marketing team to develop event strategies that align with company objectives while delivering an outstanding experience for attendees. The Experience Marketing Executive will successfully support on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the entire process, with the opportunity to lead projects and events of their own.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
* Support the Senior Experiential Manager across multiple events and experiences, being an integral resource in every aspect of the planning process and stakeholder management.
* Work with the team to develop event plans and strategy and help to coordinate all aspects of participation in major trade shows and independent events. After each event, help to compile detailed reports for senior management outlining key takeaways, achievements, and opportunities for improvement
* Develop meticulous event planning resources such as project and workback plans, comprehensive attendee trackers and stakeholder presentations. Distribute these resources to relevant collaborators across the organization
* Work with the team on managing event agencies in the planning process, giving insight and opinion into creative event concepts, helping to shape the event delivery. Assist with the internal planning processes across legal and finance, scrutinising budgets for efficiencies and follow internal compliance processes.
* Support with event operations during the actual event, which will include travel across Europe to assist in setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise
* Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate success against established metrics and provide recommendations for future improvements
* Continuously research new event and experiential trends and insights, to identify potential areas of improvement and innovation and utilise AI to create efficiencies.
* Work closely with our European markets, managing communication with them on event planning details such as attendees, schedules and travel.
What we need for this role
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Experience of event planning and delivery, either from a corporate, B2B or agency environment
* A passion and enthusiasm for events and experiential and a drive to continue a career in this area by continuously learning and developing in the field of events.
* Someone who is creative and has a desire to help shape innovation, creativity and new ways of working within our events
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
* A validated problem solver who can assess a situation and make decisions quickly
* A solid understanding of IT systems including event management databases and Microsoft office. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is necessary
* An understanding of AI tools and capabilities and a strong desire to continue research and a developing understanding in this space.
* An enthusiasm for technology and an understanding of the industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, stakeholders, agencies and guests
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
What does success look like?
* Success will be measured based on key performance indicators such as business growth, market share increase, event/campaign performance, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Daily activities will involve supporting in the planning and delivery of events, creating schedules, event plans, delivering events across Europe.
* Ideally, the person is expected to be good at effective communication, proactive problem-solving, and a focus on fostering a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
