Job Description

Post Title: Early Years Practitioner

Location: Kirkhill Primary School, Inverness

Hours: 18 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

Salary: £11,741 - £12,858 (Unqualified), £13,041 - £14,274 (Qualified)

Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Requirements

This position is a regulated role. An Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and residency history. Specifically, this check is necessary if:

* You are not a national of the UK or listed countries (Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Poland).
* You have lived or worked outside these countries for three months or more in the past five years.

Please note that obtaining the Overseas Criminal Record Check is your responsibility, and you will cover any costs.

Unqualified Early Years Practitioners will work towards relevant qualifications within an agreed timeframe and will be paid on grade HC0435.

Qualified Early Years Practitioners should hold a recognized childcare qualification (e.g., HNC, NNEB, SVQ 3) and will be paid on grade HC0535.

The Early Years Practitioner must hold or apply to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) upon employment. If already registered, any employment changes must be reported to the SSSC.

Qualifications in Food Handling and First Aid are advantageous.
