Job Overview
Critical Care Outreach Sister/Charge Nurse, Band 7, 37.5 hours per week. Possible secondment.
An exciting opportunity within the Adult Critical Care Outreach Team at North Cumbria. The team provides comprehensive services to adult patients across various specialties including Cardiology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Vascular, Renal, and general medicine and surgery.
We seek a positive, forward-thinking individual with experience at Band 6 or above, capable of motivating others and managing service needs. The team is committed to clinical excellence, teaching, and audit.
Main duties
Management and support of critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and support for high dependency (Level 2) and intensive care (Level 3), including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological, and emergency pediatric admissions. The service aims to improve ward-level care.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Registered nurse with current registration
* Critical care certificate or equivalent
* Teaching certificate or equivalent
* ALS and ALERT provider certificates or equivalent
Desirable qualifications include a Masters, ALERT instructor, nurse prescribing, leadership certificates, and IT skills.
Knowledge and experience
* Clinical experience at Band 6 or above in critical care
* Experience in clinical practice change, teaching, patient assessment, and audit
Additional desirable skills include supervision, interdisciplinary working, conflict management, and familiarity with hospital systems.
