A client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area are recruiting an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a full-time temporary position for 2-3 months, working Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am - 12:30pm (36.5 hours per week). The role is office-based and paying £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience. Your key duties in this Accounts Payable Assistant role will include but are not limited to: * Running the UK Accounts Payable function * Processing a high volume of invoices (Apply online only) per day) using an in-house automated scanning system * Monitoring invoice processing errors, identifying gaps in the system and following up to resolve issues * Investigating failed invoices (e.g. missing or incorrect purchase orders) and providing feedback internally * Managing internal and external AP queries, liaising with suppliers where information is missing * Completing weekly BACS and bi-monthly foreign payment runs * Supplier statement reconciliations and general AP housekeeping, including clearing backlog items Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role: * Minimum 3 years' experience in an AP/AR role within a manufacturing or engineering environment * Experience working with automated or scanned invoice processing systems * Strong attention to detail with the ability to track issues, resolve errors and follow up proactively * Confident communicating ...
