Lifecycle Services Executive
We are looking for someone to join Logistics Lifecycle Services and be part of the continued growth, development, and success of the team. This role works with general sales and specialist teams to support conversations around our portfolio and drive maximum value to our customers. The role incorporates a mixture of commerciality, sustainability, support and interaction with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrable experience working in a sales‑aligned and customer‑facing role, with the ability to engage confidently with customers, understand requirements, and support commercial opportunities.
* Educate and support Softcat Account Managers in identifying, qualifying, and progressing lifecycle service opportunities with customers.
* Deliver lifecycle services to customers, with a strong focus on extending device lifecycles through reuse, refurbishment, or compliant and ethical end‑of‑life recycling.
* Work collaboratively with Account Managers to design customer‑centric lifecycle solutions, leading discovery sessions and translating customer requirements into clearly defined, deliverable service offerings.
* Partner closely with our approved partner network to build tailored customer solutions, leveraging partner capabilities, services, and strengths.
* Coordinate and manage partner proposals, ensuring commercial alignment and adherence to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
* Provide end‑to‑end management of lifecycle opportunities, including coordination of collections, reporting, and clear internal communication across multiple Softcat departments.
* Take ownership of key customer accounts, managing ongoing queries, maintaining accurate data, and supporting regular touch‑point meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers are fully prepared for a smooth transition from project delivery into business‑as‑usual operations.
* Maintain close alignment with specialist teams, ensuring they are informed and up to date on current lifecycle offerings and capabilities.
Qualifications
* Experience in working in a busy environment handling multiple work streams.
* Ability to problem solve, assess and evaluate risk and determine when issues should be escalated to a higher level.
* Team player with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to set deadlines, prioritise and deliver against them for yourself and others in the team.
* Ability to work autonomously to select appropriate partners for more complex requirements, and to apply industry knowledge to select and align partners.
* Demonstrated judgement, leadership and a systematic approach to daily workloads.
* Day‑to‑day guidance of the team to respond to changing priorities and still achieve SLAs.
* Maintain specialist lifecycle knowledge necessary to perform effectively, including appreciation of the wider business context.
* Understand lifecycle partners' full capability to identify commercial supply routes.
* Self‑starter, well‑organised with good attention to detail.
