Fifty Five Hospitality is creating a new brand of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts rooted in nature and wellness within drive-to catchments of global gateway cities.
We are a small team comprising seasoned hotel entrepreneurs and executives, a 2-star Michelin chef, and professionals with FTSE 100 experience. As a private equity-backed investment, we will shortly commence construction on our first asset, with fully approved planning and design in place.
The first Fifty Five Hospitality asset will be a new-build luxury countryside hotel in an outstanding natural environment with an exceptional wellness offering, less than 2 hours from London. Future assets will be in prime European locations within drive-to catchments of global gateway cities.
Fifty Five Hospitality (“55H”) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to work with management to set-up and lead the procurement function during the development, pre-opening, and ongoing operations of its luxury wellness resort. This role is pivotal in overseeing the sourcing and procurement of all required goods and services across multiple phases, from design and construction through to post-opening operations, with a particular focus on procuring Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E), as well as Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E). The Senior Procurement Manager will work closely with the development team, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services in line with the project budget and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement Strategy and Planning: Lead and manage the procurement process, developing a strategy that aligns with 55H's luxury and sustainability values, while coordinating with the project team to meet design and construction timelines.
* Vendor and Supplier Management: Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure procurement activities meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
* Budget and Cost Management: Working with the finance team to develop and maintain procurement budgets, regularly track project costs, and manage budget variations to ensure financial targets are met.
* Product Sourcing and Tendering: Oversee the preparation and management of tender packages for FF&E and OS&E, ensuring transparent and competitive supplier selection.
* Construction and Installation Management: Supervise procurement, logistics, and delivery of FF&E and OS&E, ensuring on-time arrival, conformance with specifications, and damage-free delivery. Manage installation, coordinate with contractors and the operations team, and oversee sustainable disposal of packaging and waste.
* Post-Opening Purchasing: Work with the operational team to set up contracts with suppliers for operational requirements, monitor supplier performance, and ensure all necessary warranties and documentation are in place.
* Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide updates to senior management, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute to 55H's strategy through procurement innovations and process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in leading and managing procurement functions, specifically FF&E and OS&E, for design-led hotel, resort, or real estate developments.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimisation techniques.
* Skilled at developing a clear vision and strategic sourcing roadmap, incorporating advanced technology to drive long-term success, while understanding broader business challenges, strategic connections, and emerging opportunities.
* Proven ability to make both tactical and strategic decisions, with strong leadership skills and a capacity for managing and motivating teams effectively.
* Ability to drive cost optimisation and reduction strategies through Value Analysis and Value Engineering.
* Understanding of sustainable sourcing and procurement practices.
* Understanding of Health & Safety and relevant regulations in respect of FF&E.
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets and cost control measures.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Relevant degree or professional qualifications in procurement, business, design, or a related field is preferred.
