The Role: Mergon UK are currently hiring for a Tool Change Fitter to join our team in Blackburn. This role will be involve driving a FLT and changing the tools and dyes on the production machines on the factory shopfloor. Key Responsibilities: Hours of Work: 2pm – 10pm Monday to Fridays Key Responsibilities: · Driving a FLT to carry out Tool and dies changes to blow and injection moulding machines on a busy production shopfloor. · To keep good storage and housekeeping of tools. · Inspection of tools and reporting of faults and or damage to the Engineering department. · To ensure the secondary equipment required is available and operating correctly. · Complete the paperwork associated with tool changes. To be successful in this role you will likely have: At least 3 years’ experience, ideally previously worked in a manufacturing environment, but not essential. FLT driving qualification Lifting and Slinging experience Awareness of Health and Safety regulations. Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team Ability to work independent and part of a team. Willingness to undertake any necessary training as identified to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.
