Job Role
The post holder will undertake comprehensive nursing assessments, deliver and evaluate high standards of evidence-based nursing care to a diverse group of patients. Responsibilities include providing care independently, supervising junior staff and students, and acting as a role model within a multidisciplinary team.
We Are Looking For
* An enthusiastic and motivated Staff Nurse with an interest in Oncology
* Qualified for at least one year
* Competent in cannulation and IV therapy (training provided)
* Experience administering chemotherapy is advantageous, but full training will be provided
Essential Criteria
* Registered Nurse - part 1
* Evidence of recent continuous professional development
* Experience in an acute clinical environment
* Appropriate UK professional registration
Desirable Criteria
* Working towards a master's degree
* SACT administration qualification
* N59/Care of the patient receiving chemotherapy module
* Competent in venepuncture, cannulation, and CVAD use
