A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join its growing Clinical Negligence team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a specialist department handling high-quality, complex work, with exposure to a wide range of claimant matters.

The Role
You will support experienced lawyers on a varied caseload of clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims. The role offers hands‑on experience and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.
Key responsibilities include:
* Liaising with clients, experts, barristers, insurers, and third parties
* Handling client enquiries via telephone and email
* Opening, closing, and maintaining client files using case management systems
* Assisting with diary management, appointments, and arranging meetings/conferences
* Coordinating with internal teams, including accounts, regarding payments and invoices
* Obtaining and reviewing medical records
* Preparing chronologies and organising case documentation
* Supporting document production and maintaining case management systems and spreadsheets
As you progress, you may also:
* Assist with reviewing expert reports
* Draft witness statements and legal documents
* Support preparation for hearings
* Attend and observe meetings with counsel, experts, and clients
Candidate Requirements
* Previous legal experience, ideally within litigation (clinical negligence experience beneficial but not essential)
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a professional and client‑focused approach
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn
* Good IT skills and experience using case management systems
Qualifications & Experience
* A degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential
* Prior legal work experience is required
* Demonstrable interest in litigation or claimant work
