We are recruiting a skilled Property Maintenance Operative to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers a Monday to Friday shift pattern from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a salary of £27,500 per annum. The role will be primarily based at our Northampton and Milton Keynes sites, with occasional support required at other sites in the area. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel. Candidates with 2–3 years of building maintenance experience, preferably in a logistics environment, and/or previous facilities or caretaker experience are encouraged to apply. The Role As a Property Maintenance Operative, you will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure our premises are maintained safely and effectively, meeting Health & Safety and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include: Supporting and monitoring contractors on site, ensuring compliance with pre-approved risk assessments and method statements Conducting routine and scheduled maintenance inspections and basic repairs, adhering to machinery regulations and Health & Safety protocols Updating information via our electronic online portal Carrying out a variety of tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting to keep our sites fully operational Working in a physical, hands-on capacity, which may occasionally involve working at heights Additionally, you will: Identify and report the need for major repairs Use PPE as required Undertake regular site audits and escalate any abnormalities About You To be considered for this role, you will need: 2–3 years’ experience in general building maintenance Basic plumbing and carpentry skills Strong communication and customer service skills Good organisational and problem-solving abilities A good level of IT literacy A full, valid driving licence with no more than 6 points Please note: this role will involve working at heights.
