Overview
Suffolk New College invites applications for a Technician within the Electrical field. You will be required to provide a range of technical advice, support and practical assistance to staff and students. You will be responsible for preparing, maintaining the equipment and materials within the practical workspaces, alongside ensuring safe working practices.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical advice, support and practical assistance to staff and students in the Electrical area.
* Prepare and maintain equipment and materials within practical workspaces.
* Ensure safe working practices in the workspaces.
* Contribute to wider College health and safety activity and undertake training in areas such as first aid and fire marshal when required.
* Maintain an organised and methodical approach to support the smooth operation of the workspaces and the delivery of an exceptional student experience.
* Communicate and engage with a range of audiences including young people; work well in a team and on own initiative.
* Be prepared to work at Suffolk New College Rural campus and travel between campuses as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Good understanding of health and safety and willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g., first aid and fire marshal).
* Organised, methodical approach and good communication skills.
Location
This post is based at Suffolk New College Rural campus. Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site; you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
