Motor Vehicle – Senior Training Advisor
About the Role
An established Further Education (FE) provider is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Training Advisor – Motor Vehicle to join their apprenticeship team.
You will play a key role in planning, delivering, and assessing Motor Vehicle training for apprentices, working both in the college and in employer workplaces. Alongside teaching and assessment, you will monitor learner progress, ensure quality and compliance, and help promote Motor Vehicle apprenticeship programmes to local industry.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess training for Motor Vehicle apprentices.
*
Carry out Training Needs Analysis for employers and apprentices.
*
Design and coordinate individual and group delivery plans, including skills assessments.
*
Support apprentices in both college and workplace settings, conducting regular reviews.
*
Deliver up to 170 hours of teaching and training annually (flexible based on operational needs).
*
Monitor and report on learner performance, ensuring quality improvement and compliance with awarding body requirements.
*
Promote Motor Vehicle apprenticeship programmes to employers and industry stakeholders.
*
Undertake workplace visits, including Health & Safety checks and learner welfare monitoring.
*
Contribute to recruitment, enrolment, induction, and progression of apprentices.
*
Build and maintain strong links with employers and industry to support programme growth.
Essential Requirements
*
Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle or a related vocational subject.
*
Recent and relevant industry experience within the Motor Vehicle sector.
*
Teaching or training experience.
*
Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks/standards and assessment requirements.
*
Strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills.
*
Ability to build effective relationships with employers, apprentices, and colleagues.
*
Commitment to safeguarding, equality & diversity, and continuous professional development.
*
Full driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
*
PGCE/Cert Ed (or willingness to work towards).
*
Assessor qualification (A1/A2 or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
*
Internal Verifier (V1) qualification.
*
Health & Safety qualifications.
*
Supervisory or administrative experience.
*
Experience delivering NVQs in a workplace or college environment.
