Customer Operations Team Leader Bedford £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Benefits Permanent Our client, a leading mutual income protection provider with a supportive, people-first culture, is seeking a proactive and experienced Customer Operations Team Leader to join their Operations Team. In this key role, you will lead the Customer Operations function, ensuring excellent customer outcomes, efficient processes, and strong compliance standards across both new and existing business. Key Responsibilities as a Customer Operations Team Leader: Lead, motivate and support the Customer Operations team to deliver exceptional service across all communication channels. Oversee first-line monitoring, call observations, AML checks and quality assurance. Provide hands-on support for member and intermediary queries, acting as a role model to the team. Manage performance, identify skill gaps, and coordinate training and development. Maintain and update processes, working with stakeholders to improve communication standards and operational efficiency. Support the Operations Director with reporting, data analysis, resilience planning and ad hoc tasks. Assist with complaints, Subject Access Requests, and process reviews. Collaborate with IT & Change on system improvements and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory expectations. Promote a positive, solution-focused and engaged team culture. To be a successful Customer Operations Team Leader you must be: Experienced in people management with strong leadership and communication skills. Organised, accountable and confident in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable, reliable and able to lead by example. Comfortable with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
