Use a range of teaching strategies, including practical activities, to promote active learning. Foster confidence, independence, and social skills in pupils. Assessment and Progress : Monitor and support children's emotional and social development Classroom Management : Establish clear and consistent rules for classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment. Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development alongside their academic progress. Collaboration and Teamwork : Participate in school meetings, training, and collaborative planning sessions. Maintain open lines of communication with parents and carers to keep them informed about student progress and school events. Personal Development : Continue to develop professionally by attending training sessions and workshops relevant to your practice. Stay up to date with the latest educational trends, strategies, and practices to ensure that teaching methods remain innovative and effective. Personal Specification: Qualifications : A recognised Teaching Assistant Qualification is essential. Experience : Experience working as a teaching assistant in a school. Knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum. Experience working with children with a range of learning needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Skills and Attributes : Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Creativity and resourcefulness in assisting with learning activities and supporting children development Personal Qualities : A patient and nurturing attitude to support children's emotional and social growth with sensitivity and understanding. A proactive and self-motivated individual who takes initiative and can work both independently and as part of a team.
