We're seeking dedicated practitioners to work across our Hearing Voice service, supporting adults across Bradford District & Craven to improve their mental health and wellbeing. This role will primarily focus on delivering 1:1 Maastricht support sessions, working collaboratively with individuals to explore and develop personal constructs that promote clarity, understanding, and a greater sense of control over their voice-hearing experiences. The successful candidate will receive full training in the Maastricht Interview approach and be supported to develop the skills required to work effectively with individuals who hear voices. Recognising the emotionally demanding nature of this work, we offer regular construct support sessions with an external supervisor, alongside both group and individual clinical supervision to ensure ongoing professional development and wellbeing. ​ Role Purpose Provide face to face or telephone, one to one and group support to people accessing our Hearing Voices services. Complete case studies and collect service member feedback Have a good understanding of support services across the district and signpost/complete onward referrals to relevant services for people to access additional support Complete individual needs assessments, risk assessments and goals-based outcome measures with people we support Develop person-centred support plans to help individuals stay well Record information electronically and maintain up to date records Work effectively with colleagues Motivate and encourage people to take steps to achieve positive change in their lives Promote equity, diversity and inclusion through your work Commit to self-development and undertake any training required to fulfil your role Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to ensure the smooth running of Bradford District and Craven Mind Participate in individual and group supervision and internal/external staff development including mandatory training related to the role Attend and input to regular team meetings and organisational wide engagement days Understand and comply with all Bradford District and Craven Mind policies and procedures Work in alignment with the aims, objectives, and core values of Bradford District and Craven Mind ​ Role Outcomes The purpose of the Maastricht Interview is to help service members explore and understand their experiences of hearing voices. Through this process, the practitioner will support individuals to develop a compassionate and collaborative relationship with their voices, with the aim of improving their overall wellbeing. Person specification Bradford District and Craven Mind is committed to promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and improving the quality of life for people with mental health challenges. Qualifications Evidence of ongoing professional development Experience Essential: Experience of working with children, young people or adults in a health, social care or any other relevant setting (this can include voluntary experience) Experience of supporting people in a clear, meaningful and non-judgemental way either via telephone or in person (this can include voluntary experience) Experienced and confident in managing challenging situations, and recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns (this can include voluntary experience) Desirable: Experience of 1to1 support face to face or via telephone Experience of supporting individuals Hearing Voices Experience of supporting individuals with ongoing support by signposting within the community ​ Skills and Abilities Excellent proven communication and organisational skills, including an ability to encourage and engage people in ways to make positive changes in their lives.
