A Special Educational Needs Residential School in Blandford Forum is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
The Role:
You will be supporting classroom teachers in providing the best learning environment possible for pupils aged 7-19 years old, with specific SEND/ additional needs:
* Primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC)
* Co-existing conditions
* Complex needs
* Challenging behaviour
* Severe learning difficulties
* All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCPs)

Who We Are Looking For:
* Relevant experience in similar educational/ care settings
* Driving licence beneficial if you live outside of Blandford Forum
* Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
* Able to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
