Job Purpose
The successful candidate will assist the Police with the Humane dispatch of injured animals.
Key Accountabilities:
To assist the Police with the humane dispatch of injured animals, to be prepared to respond to call-outs day or night.
Important: the successful candidate will be be vetted by the Force Firearms Licensing department. Will have signed an agreement and must be in receipt of a letter of authorisation from the Force Firearms Licensing department. Successful applicants will have their Firearms Certificate endorsed with a clear condition authorising their use for the humane dispatch of animals as required by Hampshire Constabulary.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
Must hold a shotgun certificate and a firearms certificate with an open condition.
Holder of DMQ HAD Award or equivalent HAD Qualification recognised by a UK Police force
Must hold a full UK driving licence and use of an appropriate personal vehicle suitable to respond to call out to humane animal dispatch
Must have a valid membership of BDS / BASC for insurance purposes.
Desirable
Experience in deer management/stalking and/or the humane dispatching of animals’
