Base pay range

Location: Gloucestershire (with travel across England)

Hours: 37.5 hour per week

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (plus car allowance and benefits)

About the Role

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new opportunity to shape the future of our Business Development function. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of driving strategic growth across multiple regions - spotting untapped commercial opportunities, building high-impact partnerships, and leading ambitious expansion plans.

We’re looking for a commercially savvy leader with a strong track record in business development and deep sector expertise - ideally within the UK supported living or broader care landscape. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful impact and ready to lead from the front, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

* Shape and deliver a multi-regional growth strategy that aligns with Prosperity’s mission, values, and long-term vision.
* Lead, inspire, and develop the Business Development team, cultivating a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.
* Identify and secure new commercial opportunities, including strategic partnerships and service contracts that drive sustainable growth.
* Drive regional expansion, using data‑driven insights and stakeholder engagement to establish Prosperity’s presence in new markets.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with operational and quality teams to ensure smooth, high‑quality service delivery in newly launched regions.
* Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and diversification.
* Act as a brand ambassador, representing Prosperity at industry events, forums, and in discussions with commissioners and key stakeholders.
* Champion compliance, ensuring all activities meet legal, regulatory, and internal governance standards.
* Report to the Executive Team, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and emerging opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a strategic, commercially minded leader who combines deep sector insight with a genuine passion for transforming lives through high-quality, person-centred care. This role is ideal for someone with experience scaling service-based operations - particularly within local authorities, the care sector, the NHS, or commissioning bodies - who’s ready to make a meaningful impact at a national level.

You’ll need to have:

* Proven leadership experience in a senior business development or commercial role, with a strong track record of delivering results.
* In‑depth knowledge of the UK care sector, ideally with experience in supported living services.
* A growth‑focused mindset, with demonstrable success in identifying opportunities, securing new business, and driving strategic expansion.
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
* A strategic thinker who’s equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
* Thrives in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment, bringing energy, adaptability, and resilience.
* Willingness to travel across regions to build relationships and support growth initiatives on the ground.
