We\\re looking for someone to be part of our team, in this fixed-term part-time role.About usResearch and Impact Services is responsible for advancing the University\\s international reputation for research and knowledge transfer by:increasing the volume of externally funded researchimproving grant application success ratesenhancing strategic and operational support to academic departmentsOur department is the primary conduit for government, business, charity and other funders to access the research expertise and knowledge of the University of Bath.About the roleOver the next two years, the University will implement a new grant application and award costing system (Worktribe), managed through the University Research Management System (URMS) project. RIS are looking for a hardworking individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support the Research Funding team during his time.You will work closely with the Pre-Award Development Officers, Pre-Award Support Officer, Pre-Award Manager and Head of Research Funding to support the effort to ensure that the outputs of the URMS project are realised within the agreed timescales. This will also require planning and participation in user acceptance testing for the new system.You will also develop comprehensive knowledge of the University’s costing system and be able to confidently advise, support and guide colleagues across the University.About youThis role requires excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills along with a good understanding of the research funding landscape for the higher education sector, and some familiarity with costing systems used to support funding applications. You will be educated to degree level or hold significant, relevant professional experience.You will also have:excellent numeracy and IT skillsexcellent attention to detailself-confidence and the ability to stand your ground, remaining calm under pressuregood self-motivation and time-managementFurther informationThe post is offered on a part-time basis (21.9 hours per week) for a period of 12 months, starting in August 2025. We would welcome applications for secondment from existing staff.Our team works both remotely and on campus, as part of a hybrid model (everyone is required to work on campus for some of their week - this is not a fully remote role).
