An ambitious and welcoming secondary school in Radlett is seeking a motivated Computer Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role would suit a Computer Science specialist who is passionate about technology and keen to inspire young people through engaging and practical learning experiences.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop strong computational thinking, coding, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Computer Science to KS3 and KS4 students
* Deliver engaging lessons covering programming, algorithms, and digital systems
* Encourage independent thinking and practical application of computing skills
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively
* Provide timely and constructive feedback
* Maintain an organised and well-managed ICT/computing suite
* Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning and development
* Contribute to enrichment opportunities and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Has experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting
* Demonstrates strong knowledge of the UK Computer Science curriculum
* Uses an engaging, hands-on, and student-centred teaching approach
* Displays confident classroom management and communication skills
* Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply
