Job Description To ensure the smooth day to day running of the technical function and ensure that company quality standards are adhered to. Assisting the Production team where possible. Providing engineering solutions and assist in an operational capacity. Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant. Follow preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules. Repairs during production. Planned maintenance. Inspection outside production hours some week end overtime working will be required to suit the business needs. Ideally you may have worked with packaging machinery within FMCG environment with Supporting collage/technical qualifications in line with Engineering experience to date. Familiar with maintaining packing equipment. Experience of the following: Carton erectors. Gluing systems. Met /dets. Checkweighrers. Pallet wrapping m/c. Shrink wrapping. Various bespoke hand packing / labelling lines some with printers. To carry out scheduled work to restore machines and site back to standard. To carry out change overs when required. Look for opportunities to continuously improve machine performance. To follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to. Food safety, Hygiene. Health and Safety, Lock off etc. To assist in colleague training and development when required. To ensure that good work practices and housekeeping are adhered to. Drive own personal development through training and work based experience. To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post.
